SUNDAY BEST: Making Time For Journaling
The last few weeks have been daunting. Not only have Derick and I tried to settle in with our new plan for another egg retrieval (see the post here) the semester has started along with ALL things COVID. Both classes I teach this semester at the University are “blended” meaning some in person and some online. It has been quiet the challenge especially remaining cautious with our upcoming treatment. Long weekday nights and weekend days spent preparing and managing this new learning environment. Knowing I will be working from home I also decided to create a hybrid space in my guest bedroom for work + rest and began working on a quick re-design of this room. See all of my scattered ideas here for this space. It’s finally coming along and we used the long holiday weekend to tackle this project. Derick installed my new sputnik light this weekend I found for a steal on Amazon and I got a few more items ordered like a rug and bedding. But the one thing that brings me satisfaction is taking time to write in this blog or my journal at night. It’s easy to let life get you in its grips and allow those small me-time things fade. But I made time for both this week and it feels good.
Write on.
