Hi.

I'm Erin. Welcome to my humble online abode. I live and work in Norman, Oklahoma and started this blog to journal my infertility journey but also to share projects, obsessions and inspirations. My passion is interior design but I have many loves, many mountains, and always speak from my heart which you can usually find on my sleeve. I hope to inspire your heart to create beautiful spaces, work hard, pray harder, and remember to pencil life in. Always.

Our Shed Aquarium Experience in Honor of Shark Week

Our Shed Aquarium Experience in Honor of Shark Week

If you know me, like REALLY know me, you know about my unhealthy obsession with Shark Week. I live for it. I don’t watch a lot of television. Never really have, well since TGIF anyways (those were the days). I honestly watch tv about 2 seasons of the year, Christmas time…and Shark Week. Weird I know.

Did you know this is the 31st anniversary of the series for the Discovery channel? I’ve been glued to it all week like every year; even started the event with a kickoff party. And can we talk about Rob Riggle? That dude is hysterical. But as the week comes to a close I don’t want it to end (along with summer!!).

In June I slipped away to Chicago again with Derick for another work trip. This time we squeezed in the Shed Aquarium before it was time to leave for the airport and it was amazing. I naturally beelined for the sharks, but enjoyed the rest just as much. The penguins were a hoot to watch as well as the otters. How cute are those little suckers?! They’re like dogs! This iconic aquarium was well worth the visit and I would go back anytime.

So here are just a few highlights from our Shed Aquarium experience as I reminisce about that time I was surrounded by sharks. [Sigh] Until next year, Shark Week. Another good run this year.
